Cookie Policy

Last updated: October 8, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Happique ("we", "us", or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website or use our services. This policy should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile phone) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, provide information to website owners, and improve the user experience.

Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, and pixel tags (also known as web beacons). For simplicity, we refer to all of these technologies as "cookies" in this policy.

2. Cookies We Use

Essential Cookies

These cookies are strictly necessary for the Services to function and cannot be disabled. They include:

CookiePurposeDuration
Session tokenMaintains your authenticated session after loginSession / 30 days
CSRF tokenProtects against cross-site request forgery attacksSession
happique.cookie-consent (local storage)Stores your choice, policy version and choice timestamp180 days

Functional Cookies

These technologies remember settings you explicitly choose, such as theme and language. They are separate from optional analytics:

CookiePurposeDuration
Theme preferenceRemembers your light/dark theme selection1 year
Language preferenceStores your preferred language for the interface1 year
Recent workspaceRemembers your last active workspace and module30 days

Optional Analytics Cookies

We use Google Tag Manager to manage optional measurement tags. The container loads only after you accept at least one optional purpose. Google Analytics 4 requires analytics consent. Public page events omit account details, user content, URL query parameters, fragments and referring URLs. Refusing analytics does not affect sign-in.

CookiePurposeDuration
_ga, _ga_*Google Analytics visitor and session measurementUp to 180 days

Google receives technical information such as IP address and browser information when your browser connects to its services. See Google’s privacy policy. Advertising requires its own consent and is disabled until the service is enabled.

Optional Advertising

When Google Ads is enabled, a separate advertising choice appears in Cookie settings. Only accepting that purpose allows advertising storage, conversion measurement, advertising data sharing with Google and ad personalization. Analytics consent alone never enables advertising. Advertising tags may process ad-click identifiers such as gclid and use first-party _gcl_* cookies and third-party Google cookies. Their exact retention and use will be disclosed when advertising is enabled.

3. Third-Party Cookies

Some cookies are placed by third-party services that appear on our pages. We do not control these cookies. The third-party services we use include:

  • Discord: When you sign in via Discord OAuth, Discord may set cookies on your device according to their own cookie policy.
  • Cloudflare: Our infrastructure provider may set security-related cookies (e.g., bot detection, DDoS protection) as part of their content delivery network.

We recommend reviewing the cookie and privacy policies of these third-party services for more information.

4. Managing Cookies

You can control and manage cookies in several ways:

Browser Settings

Most web browsers allow you to manage cookies through their settings. You can typically:

  • View what cookies are stored and delete them individually
  • Block third-party cookies
  • Block cookies from specific sites
  • Block all cookies
  • Delete all cookies when you close your browser

Please note that blocking essential cookies will prevent the Services from functioning correctly. You may not be able to sign in or use certain features.

Mobile App

The Happique mobile app uses similar technologies for session management and preferences. You can clear app data through your device settings, but this will sign you out and reset your preferences.

Change or Withdraw Consent

Use the “Cookie settings” icon in the footer to accept, reject or change optional analytics and, when enabled, advertising at any time. Rejecting is as easy as accepting and does not prevent you from using the service. Reducing consent reloads this page to unload previously started tags and clears accessible first-party _ga or _gcl_* cookies for the rejected purposes. It does not erase data already sent to Google or cookies on Google’s domains. Choices expire after 180 days or a consent version change. If browser storage is unavailable, we show an error, stop queuing optional events and ask you to enable storage and save again. Reloading before saving may restore your previous choice.

5. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will post any changes on this page and update the "Last updated" date.
